Suborbital flight, "SOCEM"

Kentucky Space recently delivered the remaining SOCEM flight hardware consisting of "ADAMASat" and a Cal Poly 1U, and calibrated the beanie for flight. The launch window for this suborbital mission opens on March 11. UPDATE: The new launch window is Sat. and Sun., March 27 and 28.
SOCEM stands for the "Sub-Orbital CubeSat Experimental Mission." Pictured above is a Cubesat deployer, being fitted to a Terrier-Improved Malemute for the flight from the Wallops launch facility in Virginia.
ADAMASat will spend approximately 8 minutes in space and will flight test hardware that will be used in the orbital craft, KySat-1. Video from SOCEM mission participants describing this rapid turnaround effort may be found here.
